Kingdom Come Deliverance: Brother Henry the Clueless

Predictably Henry spent many sleeps trying to get out of the monastery. If he had high lock picking and pick pocketing skills or even a Padfoot recipe he could have short circuited the whole thing though that might not have been as easy as it sounds. Even so, the monastery presented a bit of a catch 22 since Henry needed lock picks anyway and the items he could exchange for them seemed limited. At first he was fully committed to his monk schedule and tried to solve his various dilemmas during the day. It sort of reminded me of my son rolling around the floor laughing while I tried to obey traffic laws in Grand Theft Auto only to crash the car anyway.

He spent at least 2 nights incarcerated in the cellar before he learned that he could probably get away with sneaking out of the dormitory at night. As a bonus he got the fatso achievement down there. From then on all the doors opened for him literally but progress was slow. I am glad things turned out this way because he managed to stay true to character while completing his mission. Increasingly that means pleasing Sir Radzig.

He did rush off to visit Theresa. She did not complain about his long absence but she wasn’t at all interested in any jewellery he was carrying or romantic walks. Back to Sir Radzig he went. On his latest infiltration mission Henry learned he is at end game. I’m not sure if Henry is up for it but he did need to clean up some things in Talmberg first.

This lead him to a position as Huntmaster, his most fraudulent claim yet. His hunting and bow skills are still in the sad territory. It’s very nice to have use of a lodge but I am irritated that there is no direct fast travel point. Oh well his vitality stat inches up from all that running through towns. For longer journeys he has again resorted to horse back and the lodge seems a nicer place to leave Pebbles than the assorted pubs Henry visits.

Henry is still in the dark as to Matthew and Fritz’s fate despite travelling to Inn on the Glade during his Huntmaster quest. Perhaps he’ll find out later. Ready or not Henry will now attempt to finish his own story. Attempt it is the key word here.
